The LVL Architettura studio was set up in 2006 by Aurelio Galfetti and Luciano Schiavon

The career of Aurelio Galfetti (born in 1936 in Switzerland and graduated from Zurich Polytechnic) began in 1959 when he has attracted much deserved critical attention for more than 80 projects in Ticino and the rest of Europe. His teaching work led to him founding the Mendrisio Academia di Architettura, together with Mario Botta, and acting as its director for five years.

Luciano Schiavon (born in 1962 in Italy and graduated in Padua) began working in architecture and town planning in 1989. He has been working with Aurelio Galfetti since 2001, when they worked together on the Net Center project. It was on this occasion that they set up LVL Architettura.

Their partnership produced the Adià Center in Padua, Piazza Indipendenza in San Donà di Piave, Torre G_House and the Sea Beach buildings as well as Residence Panama, Shine Residence and Atmosfera in Jesolo. They are currently working on the new Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) in Bellinzona, for which they won an international competition.
